2010 is now upon us, and looking back at 2009
it was a really busy year. Our cakes have been as far north as Edinburgh and
as south as Lyon in France. We were very proud to see Patsy Kensit cut one
of our cakes when her character Faye Morton got married in Holby City, and
once again we have appeared in a number of both national and local
magazines.
Last year we delivered cakes to both some stunning hotels and country
manor houses, as well as an increasing number of garden weddings, each one
with its' own unique charm. We noticed a revival of themes based around
the turn of the century with a strong Arts and Crafts feel moving towards
what looks like more 1920's and Art Deco inspired designs. The 20's period
of Hollywood glamour is a rich source to draw upon, and gives Brides and
Grooms a great colour palette with which to work, and for their cake to be
even more stunning.
We are already seeing some dates in 2010 getting extremely busy, but as
always this is a fantastic problem for us to have. Our new studio in Felden
is working well for us, and we finally seem to have enough space in which to
see everybody.
Lastly I would like to wish everybody a very happy 2010!
